Applied Research in Solar Energy
for the Energy Transition

Renewable Energies Chair, University of Évora (CER-UÉ)

Created in 2010

The CER-UÉ has the mission of developing technological solutions and applications of solar energy for the decarbonization of different sectors of the economy: industry and agriculture, electricity generation, transport or communities.
important skills in the field of solar concentration optics, CER-UÉ leads INIESC – National Research Infrastructure in Solar Energy Concentration, which, in partnership with LNEG – National Laboratory of Energy and Geology, aims at the use and development of technologies for solar concentration and energy storage, in order to enhance the contribution of solar energy to the Energy Transition.
