INIESC-EVORA
The mission of INIESC-EVORA is to develop solar-driven technological solutions for the decarbonization of different sectors of the economy, in order to enhance the contribution from solar energy to the current energy transition scenario.
Allowing the development of technologies and applied research activities promoting the use of solar energy in the decarbonization of different economic sectors, INIESC-EVORA’s mission is to provide technical-scientific support for the demonstration of technologies that fully fit into this field.
Based on the thermal conversion of solar radiation at medium and high temperatures, its values focus on decarbonization:
- Solar thermoelectric production, energy storage, hybridization with other renewable sources, thermochemical production of renewable gases and fuels;
- Solar process heat, renewable gases;
- Renewable fuels;
- Solar irrigation and thermochemical production of solar fuels from alternative biomass resources.
