The Advanced Optics and High-Temperature Processes Unit has as main objective the development of line-focus (e.g, Parabolic Trough, Linear Fresnel Reflector) and point-focus (e.g., Central Tower Receiver, Parabolic Dish) solar concentrators using the tools from Non-Imaging Optics field, and their applications for High-Temperature processes such as industrial process heat, electricity production and thermochemical processes.
